This Years Charity WineBox Art Auction to be held 30th July.

Now in its 5th year, the Wine Box Auction has become one New Zealand’s foremost Art events. It’s a  positive and unique event that brings the wider art community together to benefit RealPeople @ Mosaic.

Nationally recognized artists generously contribute their support, time and artistic skills to create highly prized, collectable artworks out of wine boxes. Many continue to contribute to the event annually despite commitments to their own exhibitions and other work.

This year’s group of artists also includes several exciting newcomers and, as ever, the range of materials and ideas has created a truly exciting art event. The calibre of the works is equal to that found in any private dealer, or public, art gallery and these fabulous pieces are now available to all interested buyers throughout New Zealand  via the absentee bidding option on this website.

Art lovers will be thrilled to not only support people with disabilities but to acquire an outstanding artwork in the process. In the past two years the auction has raised $60,000 for RealPeople @ Mosaic which is used to provide our clients with experiences which enrich their lives and encourage and enable them to become more independent, and more involved in as many aspects of the wider community as possible.

We publish a catalogue for the exhibition which can be sent out to interested parties.

This year’s Wine Box Auction will be held back in its original home, the RealPeople @ Mosaic Gallery, on the 30th of July. An exhibition of all the boxes will open there on July 19th and run until the night of the auction.
